Beyond the Mirage

What if God let people teleport?

Pixar’s Up meets Rules of the Road in this classic YA novel about a road trip gone wrong.

Lauren is a quodesher – one of those people who can teleport a whole carful of people across the country.

When the California wildfires turn the drive to her sister’s wedding into a mad dash teleportation tour of the country, she’s entrusted with her sister’s wedding ring…and thrust into a leadership position.

Torn between family responsibility and her future, Lauren strikes out on her own, not expecting to be haggled about her parents’ long-ago death at every move.

When the ring goes missing, her confidence is shattered…and Lauren is forced to make choices that will impact the lives of the people around her forever.

Not all is as it seems. And trusting God…might just be a journey.

What’s a launch team?

A launch team is a group of people that helps an author launch their book out into the world!

They help the right readers connect with the book, primarly by leaving an honest review on Amazon.

How’s it work?

1. You preorder the ebook from Amazon at a special, launch-team-only discounted price. The price will go back to normal after you all have ordered.

2. I’ll email you a ebook now (early access!), and also mail you a signed print edition of Beyond the Mirage and some other goodies!!

3. You read the book and prepare an honest review to leave on Amazon the day it launches.

4. We have a ton of fun spreading the word and building hype online! There will be some amazing prizes.

FAQs

What free stuff do I get?
I’ll ship you a free signed copy of the book with some goodies(!) like custom designed stickers and a poster of the book cover.

I live in a different country. Can I join?
Yes, but unfortunately I won’t be able to ship you a free signed copy of the book.

I’m not on social media. Can I join?

As long as you can leave a review on Amazon, you’re golden.

What do I have to do?
When you sign up, you’re agreeing to definitely leave a review on Amazon on (or near) launch day.

Anything you do other than reviewing the book is a bonus. I think it’ll be a lot of fun, but you don’t have to. 🙂

I don’t read ebooks. Why would I preorder it?

Amazon is very picky about what reviews they accept. Preordering it (at a discount!) makes it easier for them to accept your review.

How long will it take to read?
It’s closer to the length of a Narnia book than a Lord of the Rings book. At an average reading speed, it’ll take less than 4 hours.

I’m giving you early access, so you’ll have a few weeks to read before it comes out.

What if I don’t like it?

Of course, I hope that you do, but honest reviews on Amazon (even not-so-great ones) help the right readers connect with the book.

What if I can’t leave a review on launch day?

Reviews left on launch/day week are INCREDIBLY valuable to the success of the book.

It means a lot to me (and future readers)!

But if life happens, a week late is better than never. When you join the launch team you do need to leave a review though.
