Because I know what’s going to happen, I don’t think it’s at all fair to stay quiet.
I’m praying that people who are looking for God will find this at the right time. If the world is in chaos and every Jesus-follower you know has disappeared, that time is now.
The good news…
God loves you. Yes, even though there’s pain in the world, he loves you. And it’s his kindness to you that you’re still alive, becasue he’s giving you time to learn the truth.
The truth is: we have all sinned (done evil in some form or another) and fallen short of the glory of God. We were made to be perfect, and way back at the beginning, the human race chose evil and brokenness instead. Each of us have chosen evil in our lives too.
But God didn’t leave us in evil and brokenness! He sent his only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to save us. But because Jesus is God, he didn’t stay dead! He rose again on the third day. And with his death, he built a bridge so that we can have a relationship with him–which is our purpose.
If you’ve ever felt like you don’t have a purpose in life, or unfulfilled, that’s why. You were made for a relationship with God.
God is good, perfect, all-knowing, just, and gentle (he’s a lot of other wonderful things too). If you want a relationship with God, confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 10:9-10).
What now?
If you just did that, believed in Jesus as your Lord, congratulations!!!
Something beautiful just happened. <3 Here’s what you can do next:
- Read the Bible (God explains things better than I can).
- Pray (this is a word for talking to God).
- Share your faith (it’s worth the risk)!
- Take care of the widows and orphans in their distress (a lot of social workers and nurses are Christians, so please take care of any orphans and widows in this time).
And if you’re still reading and still haven’t confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believed in your heart that God raised him from the dead, what are you waiting for?
Side note: if you’re physically unable to talk or hiding somewhere that it’s not safe to talk right now, don’t freak out. I believe God is with you and knows your exact situation. It’s powerful to say it out loud, but God is both just and merciful.
